These days a lot of people complain about how hard it is to focus on their tasks or anything for that matter, ADD (Attention deficit disorder) seems to be on the rise as people can't seem to stay in the moment. As a result of the above people are unable to access their full potential which is locked in a "deep work" state that they can't seem to attain, we have so much connectivity on a global scale which may in a way be linked to the disconnectivity with ourselves (for some people).
I believe some of the fault lies in how many applications we have running on our devices, apps don't give you easier access to your favorite tools and resources, they give the owners of your favorite tools and resources easier access to you. The human curiosity is easily baited which is why when we build applications, providing push notifications is a critical responsibility. If you want more time to focus consider deleting your disposable apps and running only those that can be accessible via web browser. That added difficulty and less frequent notification delivery should buy you more time.
