How Quantity Affects A Developer's journey

There's a famous quote “Quantity has a quality all its own.” that struck me as I pondered upon the meaning of the quote in a world that prioritizes quality above all else (and rightly so). The quote above made more sense when I remembered a famous quote by Albert Einstein, where he said “It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”

As a budding developer, the quantity of time spent studying or trying your hand at coding (no matter how poor the quality of the code is) can be viewed as a quality in and of itself. Nobody starts out awesome at writing code, you have to stubbornly pile up the hours when you're starting out as it's very necessary for beating the steep learning curve.

The quantity of input reflects a lot about how important a project is to you. For developers, the quantity of time spent coding or learning how to code shows tenacity and that tenacity has its dividends. One of the amazing things about coding is that you get better subconsciously before you know it, you'll go from being scared of concepts and not know what to do or how to do it to being able to properly evaluate a problem, then to knowing the steps to take in solving the problem. Growth is really slow but it's also very rewarding.
