The laptop of a software engineer isn't as exciting as most would like to believe, all you'll find are tools, code, books, tutorial videos or probably music. It reflects the fact that software engineers spend most of their time reading, coding or watching software engineering videos.
The average person would be shocked by the Google search queries of software engineers. One of the most reliable debugging resources for engineers is Google with which we access useful insight or learn from other engineers who have been in our shoes.
The earliest part of the journey into software development can be rather demanding, most claim they don't have time for their favorite past time activities as a result of the toll learning takes on a code newbie. It's totally OK. Though I would advise you make time for one or two leisures.
Animé is very popular among software engineers, it's hard to explain why but you're more like to bump into an animé lover when you move with devs. You should try it out too (ps I'm biased because I'm an animé lover myself 😂).
